Memories

*The best thing of Hamilton are the people. They are really friendly and always willing to help you. They also have a really familiar ambience.

*The thing I will remember most is how well they treated me here. Because, when I got lost here they helped me to find my way home. 

*The people I will most miss are my host dad and my host mum. They were the ones that made me feel part of the family.

*My best Canadian experience was when we went to watch a Canadian football game. It was pretty interesting, because they explained me the rules and everything.

*I learned most about Canadian food. They have lots of delicious dishes and they make a lot of things different than in Spain.

*I most enjoyed the campfires with my host family. That activity made me get to know them better. And as they are such nice people, it was a pleasure getting to know them.

*The funniest moment of the month was when we were returning home from Niagara Falls. My host dad was really funny. He made me laugh till I cried.

*My new favourite Canadian word/ expression is: #SoCanadian. I always saw it in Tim Hortons and I found it really funny. 

*The best Canadian dish I tried was Mac and Cheese. My host mother made it for me once and I fell in love with the dish. So, every time she makes Mac and cheese I'm really happy.

*The strangest thing I tried was Oreo filled with mint. I thought it would be delicious, but I tried it and I found it disgusting.

*Getting around the city was at the beginning complicated, because it was all really new to me. But once you get used to it, it's easy.

*My host family taught me: "laughter is the nearest connection between two people" this is really true. They made me laugh and I made them laugh and I think that made us be more united. -Ana V.

 

*The best thing about Hamilton is that it is very green.There's a lot of trees in every corner and they respect nature a lot.

*The best Canadian dessert I tried is beaver tails.I love them.

*The strangest thing I tried was root beer and grape Fanta.We don't have these beverages in Spain.

*Getting around the city was easy. I only got lost once and was very easy to find the right way.
